Backer Art Enterprises, LLC is a company that has been doing business since 1994. We are family run and our artwork is made in the USA. We pay attention to fine details so that our art has a unique look with exceptional quality that is not to be matched. The metal art is made out of steel and stands 1.5" off the wall creating a shadow effect. This technique sets the Backer’s art form apart from traditional two dimensional art such as paintings and most wall hangings. It is finished with powder coating so it can be used both indoors and outdoors. We are carried by many art galleries and have our work exhibited throughout the world. We are constantly changing our designs so that our metal wall art is fresh. We take pride in our art and will continue to be proud that it is made in the USA.

Richard and his son, Dan, originally operated the business from the family garage in East Stroudsburg, PA. In 1995, they expanded the metal fabrication business. Within 5 years, the business had grown to the point where an airport hangar of 6,000 square feet was required to handle the designing, fabricating and distribution of their metal art wall sculptures. The Backer’s have cornered the market on unique metal wall sculptures through their three dimensional shadow effect.

In the company’s infancy, Richard was welding trees, barns, and abstract wall art in various colors. He and his wife, Virginia traveled the East coast selling their metal one-of-a-kind metal sculptures at juried fine art shows.

In 1995, when Daniel joined the team their art work expanded to include black metal wire sculpture. For the following five years the Backer team refined their art work and added a unique, whimsical flare to their designs.

In 2002 Backer Art's custom design work could be seen in restaurants and corporations across the country. Warner Brothers noticed and picked up their art style to create crowd favorites such as Batman, Tasmanian Devil, and Pepe & Penelope.
